Is CrankHub tied to a specific brand?
No. CrankHub is open to every brand and every kind of bicycle: road and triathlon bikes, mountain bikes from hardtails to enduro, gravel and touring bikes, and e-bikes.
Is there an app?
The iPhone and Android app is on its way. Until then everything works in the browser, on your phone or your computer, at crankhub.bike/hub - and you can add it to your home screen like an app.
What kinds of rides are there?
Four, one for each world: road rides, mountain and off-road rides, gravel rides and e-bike rides. Every ride carries its world and a difficulty level, so it is easy to find the ones that suit you.
Does Back to the Car work without signal?
Yes. It uses your device’s GPS and compass, so it keeps guiding you back to where you parked even with no cell coverage.
Is it free?
Yes. The community, the rides, the garage and the news are all free.
What if something goes wrong out there?
One tap on SOS sends your exact live location to the emergency contact you chose and to the people out there with you. In a real emergency, always call the emergency services first.
Can I open a ride of my own?
Yes. Open one, pick its world and difficulty, a meeting point and a time, and decide whether it is open to everyone or to your friends only.
